Reach me

Torenia Study

My beautiful cousin asked me to make her a small painting. While I wait for my canvas to arrive in the mail, I’m doing little studies.

Torenia is known here in Hawai’i as Ola’a Beauty. Some also call it the wishbone flower. This was another of my Popo’s favorite flowers. She would pair Ola’a Beauties with Ilima to make full, gorgeous rope lei! I’m so lucky to share memories of making them with her and my cousin.
