This portrait is of my friend’s dog – from a photo of theirs. It’s acrylic paint on an 8″ x 8″ wood panel. I’m super proud of this painting ~ and I seriously wish that more people would ask me to paint their pet photos! *hint hint*

Multi-media Portrait Of My Beautiful Mom | Ink Wash & Digital Colorization
This portrait is of my beautiful mom 🖤 She was photographed for a newspaper article while making lei of plumeria flowers with another hula dancer.
The black and white portion of this portrait is done in ink wash, in a large sketchbook of mine. Layer and layer of increasingly dark dilutions of ink and water.
I scanned the original ink portrait and added a digitally painted background and ‘colorized’ parts of it. This was made as a gift for either a birthday or mother’s day.

I painted this watercolor portrait along with a Sktchy class taught by Kyle Legaspi
This class was the first lesson in the 30 faces/30 days series I joined a few years ago- which I still need to complete 😇 Kyle was so detailed and informative! She shared so much of her knowledge, I’m eternally grateful. I look back at this piece and I’m still surprised I made it. 💜
